The Gift in the wounding...
  • The pain of loss associated with change results in the temporary loss of our habitual identity, or false self.
  • The false self is an idealized image of who we are, adopted in childhood to ease the fear associated with possible rejection and lack of love.
  • When this ego self shatters during intense periods of change, a period of great opportunity opens up.
  • It’s easier to become vulnerable and real, which can lead to a taste of true nature. When loss makes it clear that the false self can’t make us happy, but that our true nature is always accessible, motivation to work toward self-realization increases.
  • This is one of the most precious gifts of wounding.
  • About Energy Work

A word about Conventional Medicine and Healing...
Alternative Healing and energy work are not substitutes for Allopathic or conventional medicine. Alternatives are educational, not medical interventions and should never be used in place of prudent and good medical care. If you are dealing with the aftermath of childhood sexual, ritual or other serious abuse issues, you should have a therapist in place— especially if your abuse was severe, ritualized, prolonged, violent or shattering.

 Absence healing and Logistics:

Different  shamans work differently depending on their tradition and teacher/s. Work does not have to be done in person. The healing takes place in the real of Spirit and by Spirit which knows no material or earthly boundaries.

Spirit is and goes everywhere without limitation. Healings do not have to take place in person and yes, they work over the phone. Spirit is infinitely creative in how it/they works/work. Spirit is not limited like the physical world of matter is. The Spirit realm is transcendental-- meaning not limited to the world of matter, but is very real and familiar to a shaman. Spirit knows no judgment, boundaries or limits in its methods or miracles. Yes, miracles are real. They manifest when one is able to bring them from that world into this one and integrate them into one's life. What are you doing that is more important?

 Fees:

A word about fees:
A shaman does not usually chose the path of shamanism, it chooses him or her. Once initiation occurs, there is no resisting and no turning back. The most skillful shamans are "wounded healers" who have experienced their own trauma and healing.

The training involved in shamanism is long and arduous and is an ongoing path. Skill building and shaman training is not free. Energy work requires an investment of money and time and ongoing practice to stay current with certifications.

The more time and training a shaman invests, the more skill he or she acquires as a practitioner. Weekend workshops, while entertaining, do not produce shamans. Shamanism is hard work and demands skill and not just an investment of time... but life. It is a lifelong undertaking.

The best shamans have worked with a shaman mentor who takes on apprentices and provides guidance and mentoring. Shamans are not self taught; they have teachers, shamans and mentors.

Shamans are not "performers" who "put on a show" for an audience. There is ritual and ceremony, yes, but it is deep, spiritual and holy work and not to be taken lightly. Soul retrieval is one percent shaman and 99% the client's working with the returned parts of their soul. A shaman can retrieve the soul, but the client is responsible for it. There is a great deal of preparation and commitment required for a soul retrieval and power retrieval but the reward is a return to wholeness. Like most major undertakings in life, what is gained is equivalent to the amount of energy put in.

The soul is divine expression of Self in the world. It is the main engine, the central power source, the GPS of life. Fixing a broken soul requires some "heavy lifting" and an investment. What do you have in life that is of more value?

A word about... Confidentiality and Sovereignty:
A shaman cannot (is not permitted to) work with anyone's soul without their permission. The soul is a sovereign entity and must be respected and held in high regard. Permission is required to respect the origins and sovereignty of the soul.

Soul work for children not of legal age requires a parent's consent and permission.
Soul work for animals requires the consent of their human guardian.

A shaman who would invade the soul territory of another without consent and permission is not an ethical shaman. Invasions, intrusions, and performing work without consent is sorcery, is dangerous, and is not permitted in the ethical practice of shamanism.

A good shaman doesn't work on you, but works with you.
